When your concrete mix faces these problems, PCE superplasticizer delivers the performance edge.

Traditional mixes require too much water to achieve workability, weakening final strength and durability.

Slow strength gain delays formwork removal in precast plants, reducing daily output and profitability.

Poor cohesion causes aggregate separation and water bleeding, leading to uneven surface quality and honeycombing.

Liquid PCE contains 50-80% water. You pay to ship water across oceans. Flakes eliminate dead weight entirely.

Liquid PCE freezes in cold climates, destroying performance. Solid flakes have no freezing risk — store anywhere.

Without PCE, more cement is needed to reach target strength. PCE reduces cement 10-20%, cutting cost and CO2.
Solid flakes deliver the same performance with dramatically lower shipping, storage, and handling costs.
Significantly lower W/C ratio for higher compressive strength and improved durability. Designed for C30 to C100 concrete.
No water weight. Same active ingredient ships at 1/3 the volume of liquid PCE. Ideal for long-distance export orders.
Extended workability window for hot climate concreting. Proven in 45°C+ GCC environments without rapid setting.
Chloride content ≤0.1%. Safe for reinforced and prestressed concrete. Zero risk of steel corrosion initiation.
Solid flakes deliver the same performance with dramatically lower shipping, storage, and handling costs.
PCE Flakes vs Liquid PCE in Hot Climates: dissolve completely in 3 minutes at 30°C water, same performance as liquid PCE, 40% lower freight cost

"We needed C80 concrete for the Burj Khalifa District expansion. Michem PCE consistently met the 2-hour slump retention requirement at 45°C. 5 batch reorders so far."
"Switched from liquid PCE to Michem flakes. Our shipping cost dropped 35% and warehouse space freed up 40%. The performance is identical — same slump, same strength."
"Our precast plant runs 24/7. Early strength development with Michem PCE allowed us to cut demolding time by 3 hours. Daily output increased 20%."
PCE flakes contain ≥98% active solid content in a dry, free-flowing form. Liquid PCE typically contains only 20-50% solids diluted in water. Flakes eliminate the cost of shipping water, have no freeze risk, and offer a longer shelf life (18+ months vs 6-12 months). Performance after dissolution is equivalent.
Dissolve flakes in water at room temperature with agitation (mechanical stirrer recommended). Typical preparation: 20% solid solution. Dissolution time: 20-40 minutes depending on water temperature. For dry mix mortar, flakes can be blended directly with other powder ingredients.
Standard dosage is 0.1% to 0.3% of cementitious material by weight. For high-strength concrete (C60+), 0.2-0.3% is typical. For ready-mix concrete with normal workability, 0.1-0.15% is sufficient. Always conduct trial mixes to determine optimal dosage for your specific materials and conditions.
